Submissions for the next edition

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

_volutions magazine ( www.volutionsmagazine.com ) is an independent online arts magazine seeking submissions for the fall of 2005 issue.

submissions may be, but are not limited to: digital art, painting, photography, music, audio, video, poetry, prose, comics, etc.

_volutions has as its primary aim the diffusion of original contemporary art via the digital medium. it is an experimental creative magazine dedicated to capturing the voices of a generation by means of the cultural media that are defining it.

we especially encourage the submission of innovative experimental pieces, in any medium. pieces may be in any language. if not in English, translations are encouraged but not required.

technical information: music should be in mp3 format. visual pieces should be submitted in jpg format to reduce space (larger files may be used later for web display). textual submissions may be in rtf, txt, or ms word, though for graphic poetry or other pieces in which format and visual aspects are essential, pdf, gif, or jpg may be more appropriate for proper display.

selected artists will be invited to the second-ever Carni_volutions party in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. the event is a one-night celebration of our magazine release, featuring digital displays, musical performances, poetry readings, and art by our featured contributors, as well as beer and other beverages. work will be published on our website, and selected works are to appear on an annual cd-anthology.
